We are putting forward "EnMS Solution beyond consulting" as our strategic importance.
This strategy is related to our partnership formation with Chiyoda System Technologies corporation who specialising in providing high level solutions to energy users.
A typical weakness consultants like us bear an limitation while we can provide very high level recommendation however having little opportunity of following through the recommendation to be acted on and shape it up for a realization. We face a lot of energy users receive good recommended idea however having hard time to make the ideas to a realisation. Clients need solutions. It is therefore EnMS-Doc this year would like to pursue the strategy as high priority.

We received many enthusiastic visitors from the organiser’s workforce members and the workforce members from neighbouring plants and factories situated in the same petrochemical complex. Among the visitors we asked a common question “Are you familiar with ISO 50001”, and 4 out 5 answered either “I am not familiar” or “This is the first time I heard about it”. Although this shows that the ISO 50001 essence is not fully disseminated yet in Japan, from the level of appreciation to the guideline's "continual energy performance improvement" initiative, we felt ISO 50001 has the potential suddenly to become the center of attention, if not only for its certification.

To keep the best performance requires much more effort, skill and sincerity than the reduction effort. This is because in order to sustain the best position, you have to be constantly alert to come up with new ideas, technologies and movements such that requiring “improvement oriented attitude” always pursuing higher marks. 　CST has recognised in earlier stage that ISO 50001 EnMS International Standard possessing the superiority as a guideline having the ultimate objective “Continual energy performance improvement”. Unlike other management systems, superiority of ISO 50001 is the fact that it employs important aspects "Design" and "Procurement" as the focal elements to pursue "continual performance improvement".

Traditionally CST's business strengths are in designing (engineering) and procurement in coming up with the highest standard system including construction and implementation work. CST then could team up with clients to follow through operation-maintenance-retirement, the system and business life cycle solution for the clients. New additional program CST's offer is by partnering with EnMS-Doc providing support and services for clients to implement effective EnMS operation. This would enhance operation by integrating optimisation in the existing system through operational, technical and measurement/verification aspects. Ultimate objective in working with EnMS operation is to work with clients pursuing business development through sustainability by ensuring “continual performance improvement” procedure is part of their daily business operation.
We are not done with mere recommendations by consultation. Our belief is we work closely with clients to act immediately on positive action items and come up with timely solution. This is the mutual strategy established between CST and EnMS-Doc.

During the stage of implementing migration from Dallas datacentre to the new datacentre at Austin (The largest datacentre in Texas as one of the TexasOne program) by our website host, we encountered more than a week of website blackout (27 January to 06 February). We took initiative to update the activities and policy of UBA for energy users in Japan who are having hard time in capitalising the benefits of ISO 50001 which promotes "Sustainability Business Development" from the global perspectives, hoping it will bring some references to the essence of EnMS. UBA is sending out their messages not only within Germany but extends beyond Europe in the global scale. By questioning how UBA tackles with environmental and energy efficiency issues, how they communicate with the stakeholders, forming teamwork, and while observing there is no trace for the government to enforcing the guideline, we start to see why German energy users are moving towards certification.
