METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) and JEITA have implemented “Energy-Saving Survey” which utilizes Japanese Green technologies with IT solutions, such as
RENKEI Control concept introdused in the past website pages. This year in the annual seminar, 4 Japanese companies conducted this survey together with local companies mainly in Malaysia in the field of Data Center, Public facility and Plant, will be presenting the most updated technology in action for review. Energy user members benefitted from the ISO 50001 Class Energy Management System (EnMS) to share the experience and know-how to other energy users in expanding the sustainability business development circle guiding Malaysia a leading nation in endorsing ISO 50001 standard.
- The league’s aim is to exchange information and know-how related to global energy management activities in order to capitalise energy efficiency opportunity.
- The league is to promote the member organisation to establish, implement, document, maintain and improve EnMS operation in accordance with ISO 50001.
- The league is to seek the most economical way for the member organisation to reach the level of ISO 50001 “Self-Declaration”.
After the successful outcome the first workshop held in September, the particiants and the organiser had a serious discussion of how to capture the opportunity from the lessons learned from the workshop, and how to disseminate the superiority of ISO Class EnMS operation to promote the sustainability business development amongst the industries in Malaysia. The conclusion from the discussion was to initiate the formation of "Energy User League of ISO 50001 Self-Declaration Malaysia" (tentative Name) by workshop participating organisations taking the initiative.
